Feels Just Like It Should was one of the first 3P projects stemming from my friendship with Brazilian Director of Photography, Felipe Scaldini. The first “proper” short film I ever wrote or directed, it was shot in October 2008 in Tampa, FL.
It's a moody and bitter piece about how it sucks to be poor that screams "first film school project" and it isn't nearly as deep as I thought it was as a dumb 25 year old, but it still holds a super special place in my heart as my maiden filmmaking voyage. It taught me that I could make something. That a movie with my name on it isn’t intangible.
Below is a silly little interview I shot of Felipe on the street one day. Working with him was a joy and I miss him.
